Meet the Bee Cave Team Behind Otto’s Garage Door

We’re a small crew, and that’s on purpose. Otto has never wanted a fleet of trucks with drivers he’s never met. Instead, you get four people who know this county, know these neighborhoods, and know that the name on the van is the name that backs the work. We’ve been running calls in Bee Cave, Lakeway, Spicewood, and the surrounding Hill Country since 2004, and most days you’ll see the same faces year after year. That’s the point. A door is 200 pounds riding on two springs. Respect it, and respect the person you let into your garage.

Our People

Otto Reinhardt, Owner

Otto founded Otto’s Garage Door in 2004 and still takes calls himself, often at nine at night when a spring lets go and someone’s car is stuck inside the garage. He’s the one who quotes the job on the phone and holds that number when he pulls into the driveway. Spring cycles are his compass: he’ll tell you what’s left on yours the way a mechanic reads tire tread. If you call on a Saturday and the person who answers sounds a little out of breath, he’s probably midway through a torsion spring swap in Rough Hollow and still picked up. That’s the whole business model.

Marcus T., Lead Technician

Marcus has been turning wrenches on garage doors for 16 years, and he’s seen just about every way a door can fail. He’s our go-to for torsion spring work and anything involving cable tension, which is the part of the job where mistakes get dangerous fast. LiftMaster and Chamberlain openers are his specialty; he can diagnose a logic board issue in minutes that would stump a parts-swapper for an afternoon. Outside of work, he’s rebuilding a 1972 Ford F-100 in his own garage, so he understands the relationship between a man and his door. His wife would like the truck finished before their daughter graduates. No comment from Marcus.

Rosa M., Service Coordinator

Rosa is the voice on the phone most weekdays, and she’s been with us for nine years. She knows the schedule, knows which truck is closest to your street, and knows the difference between a broken spring and a door that just needs the sensors realigned, which means she can often save you a trip charge before anyone even rolls out. If you’re a senior or a veteran, she’s the one who applies your permanent 10% discount without being asked. She grew up in Spicewood and can tell you which roads flood after a Hill Country downpour, which is more relevant to garage door scheduling than you’d think.

Eli D., Apprentice

Eli came to us two years ago from the Lake Travis High School trades program, and he’s earning his stripes the old way: carrying spring rods, learning tension math, and watching Marcus until it’s second nature. He handles opener installations, sensor alignments, and weatherstrip replacements under close supervision. You might see him on ride-alongs with Otto, which is how Otto makes sure every young tech learns the standard before they touch a customer’s door alone. Eli’s the reason we’ll still be doing this right in 20 more years.

One Standard, Every Job

Every person on this crew works to the same rule: if it’s not done right, we make it right. That’s what the 90-Day Done Right Promise means in practice, and it’s written on every invoice, signed, and backed by one call to Otto himself. No runaround, no corporate queue, no “we’ll have someone look into it.” You call, one of us answers, and one of us shows up. The truck you see in your driveway carries the owner’s name, and the person stepping out of it knows that’s a reputation earned one door at a time since 2004. We train across every major brand, from Genie and Clopay to Amarr and Wayne Dalton, because Bee Cave garages don’t all speak the same language. Whatever you’ve got, someone on this crew knows it well enough to fix it right and stand behind the work for 90 days in writing.
